Kim earned a Masters degree in Clinical Social Work in 1988 from The Ohio State University. She also is a Licensed School Social Worker with the Ohio Department of Education. She has worked in a variety of settings and offered services including community based mental health, school-based case management and school based mental health services.

Kim has been a therapist and administrator in various partial hospitalization programs. Kim currently works full time as a school social worker with Dublin City Schools. Kim’s school based experience has allowed her to support families in navigating the educational setting both with regular and special education students.

Kim’s part time practice at North Suburban Counseling includes work with adolescents, adults, couples and families. Kim’s areas of expertise and interest lie in helping individuals and families deal with issues of depression, anxiety, anger, coping skill attainment, ADHD symptom management, divorce adjustment and adolescent issues. Kim offers strength based, solution focused and creative therapeutic options to her clients. She believes her role as a therapist is to facilitate personal growth and support her client in their goal attainment.
