Education:  Jim obtained his graduate degree from The School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University in 1969, and his undergraduate degree from Ohio Northern University in 1965.  He has 38 years of varied work experiences related to children, adolescent and parenting issues.  During his career he has held various positions in counseling as well as child welfare staff supervision, human services administration and field instruction for graduate students in clinical field internships.  He has completed postgraduate training in short term brief therapies.
